Right after the show!
LOVING the cool Brocade pattern
Can’t really see it that well…but the necklace has cool antique-y details
Wow, I can’t believe D and I have been married for a year! The time has really flown by and it was nice to have a special night out to mark our first anniversary. We went into the city and had a nice dinner at a restaurant we had never been to before called Club House Cafe and it was delicious. We then walked the 8 or so blocks to the location of D’s surprise for me. He took me to see Avenue Q! It was hysterical and kinda inappropriate and we had a blast!
The night before, D gave me instructions to dress up without knowing where we were going. I was a bit overdressed for the restaurant and show, but I felt great in my outfit (and I always love a chance to dress up!)
The dress and belt were purchased last year for working a fancy fundraising dinner at my old job. I jazzed up an otherwise simple fitted sheath dress with a funky new blouse (one of my favorite J.crew purchases this season!) The necklace has a bit of an antique-y feel and some cool intricate details. The shoes made walking around Manhattan a breeze…they are so comfortable, and the platinum gold color ROCKS!
Dress and Belt: Ann Taylor
Necklace: Banana Republic
How do you dress up for date-night? Err on the side of under-dressed or over-dressed??
