Our Golden Retriever puppy - Keppie:)

Occasion:

Thursday was a really nice day! Temperatures were bearable and the sky was a gorgeous blue color. It happened to be one of my crazy errand-running days because I had the car but since it was so nice, I didn't mind. I had an early morning appointment at a custom framing place to see about having D's doctorate framed. We picked out a couple of contrasting mats and a gorgeous frame, and I think it's going to look great in our apartment. He worked so hard for it, so I am excited to get it back and display it for all to see! I then went to Costco, the produce store and Shoprite to get all of the items I needed to make Friday night dinner and Saturday lunch for Shabbos.

Because of such a nice day, I wanted to celebrate with a bright color. This cardigan is nice and light, so even though it was warm outside, I was still very comfortable. The sweater is super bright and because it really stands out, I wanted to keep the rest of the outfit very simple. I layered some white tank tops, one for the neckline and the other one for the ruffle to add some interesting detail. The skirt has some really cute eyelet embroidery that I really love and the loose flowy cut of the skirt kept me really cool. I LOVE this amazing flower necklace and because it is such a statement piece, I kept the accessories to a minimum - just a simple gold python print belt and my gold top-siders finished the look.

Outfit:

White undershirt: Kikiriki

White ruffle undershirt: J.CREW

Sweater: Banana Republic

Skirt: Gap

Belt: J.CREW

Necklace: Ann Taylor Loft

Shoes: J.CREW

What do you wear to celebrate a gorgeous day?

Thanks for this blog! I have no sense of fashion whatsoever, and it doesn't help that I never figured out how to layer anything properly. I absolutely love this outfit, but I would have never come up with anything like it myself!
