The rain has finally stopped!! Today it was bright and sunny and amazing - and my mood has improved tremendously:) Keppie and I went to Petco today to get her some toys to help with the teething, some training treats and more food, and to look into one of their obedience classes. Now that she is fully vaccinated, she can interact with other dogs and puppies. She is doing really well with the at-home training that I am teaching her. She can sit, lay down, crawl and roll-over and D is teaching her to shake. We are still working on stay and wait. We want her to take a class in addition to my training so that she gets to interact with other puppies and can behave even when there is a lot going on.

Sorry about the tangent involving my super cute pup - back to your regularly scheduled program:) I have seen several blog posts recently about how to correctly (read: tastefully) wear animal prints: here is a great one by my friend Chandra at Momomod. It really comes down to choosing one item with the animal print, whether it be a shirt, a skirt or an eye-catching accessory. The runway may make you think that you can dress head-to-toe in leopard print and look 'high fashion', but let's be honest; we'd just look trashy.

For my leopard print look, I went with this printed short-sleeve blouse. I cinched it at the waist with a skinny black patent leather belt to give it some more shape. To keep it simple on bottom (because of the busy pattern on top), I opted for a simple denim pencil skirt. This long gold chain necklace was a great accessory because it added some interest while not being to bold as to command a lot of attention since the top is so busy. So go ahead - have fun with animal prints; just remember: the trick is moderation:)

White Undershirt: Ruthie's (in Monsey)

Cute puppy accessory: KEPPIE!!:)

How would you rock the animal print this season??

You (both) look amazing! Very sophisticated!

Question: Years ago, my mom convinced me to buy a silk, long and flowing, multi-tiered leopard print skirt. I agreed only because she was paying and it has stayed in a closet in MD for the last 6 years. With the fashion trend going the way it is, do you think I should dust it off and give it a try?

@starlight - DEF dust that skirt off, give it a new home in your current closet, and introduce it to your repertoire!!! what a fab piece to own...*drool*...:)
