Change of Season

Occasion:

On Sunday night, I changed over my closet from my spring/summer wardrobe to my fall/winter wardrobe. It was a MUCH bigger endeavor than I had bargained for! As I was unpacking my winter clothes, I tried everything on. Now I know what fits and what doesn't and exactly what I have in my closet so that I can prioritize new items based on need.

One thing I have left to do is to change over our bedding to the 'cold weather' bedding. When we moved into our apartment the bedroom was painted a mauve color and we didn't really have the option to change it. I have since come to love it and finally found bedding that goes with it really well, although in the beginning it was really challenging to find something to coordinate with it! Also, our bed frames are really old and I don't really love them anymore so eventually I would love to get new bedroom furniture...any suggestions are welcome! I was checking out bed sets and there are some gorgeous ones, so we'll see...maybe for Chanukkah:)

Also, I am going to be doing a Product Review of an item from csnstores.com and I am really excited! They have a bunch of really great websites to choose from including www.luxebycsn.com, www.allmodern.com, and www.cookware.com so there is definitely something for everyone!! I'll keep you posted (haha, get it?!) on whatever I get and stay tuned for the review as well.

This outfit was definitely a casual Sunday outfit! It was a bit chilly, so perfect weather for a sweater! I love the magenta color, it is so bright and fun, but also fall-esque because of its blue undertones. I paired it with my trusty denim pencil skirt and it was super comfortable. Since it was a bit cool, I opted for leggings:) I kept the accessories pretty simple. A long gold chain necklace and coordinating multi-magenta silk scarf was all that I needed. These moccasins have proved to be an excellent purchase! It feels like I am wearing slippers everywhere - I love it!

Outfit:

Undershirt: Elzee (Brooklyn, NY)

Sweater: J.CREW

Skirt: J.CREW

Necklace: Banana Republic

Leggings: Target

Scarf: Ann Taylor

Moccasins: J.CREW

Glasses: Dolce & Gabbana

Have you changed over your closet yet? Any bed set recommendations?

Really cute outfit! Everytime I see your jean skirts I am reminded of how much I need one, lol... I can never seem to find one long enough. We don't have J Crew here... I'll have to keep searching! Or order online..
Happy fall!

@Alex Aviva - Thanks:) In terms of jean skirts, Gap usually has great skirts. right now they have some that i am eyeing:) Also, you can def order online from J.CREW because they are VERY true to size when it comes to skirts:) Target is also great; they have a bunch right now! also, try old navy - they always have good ones. H&M is always an option cause they have so much inventory. Let me know if you need more suggestions:)

LOVE the pink. I wore a sweater that EXACT same color today. I almost never wear pink, and especially not bright pink, but lately I kind of like it. I just found your blog and I think it's awesome!

I love the bright pinky plum color - it is really flattering with your skintone!

I'm one of those gals who don't seasonally switch her wardrobe and maybe I should! That would keep me from digging around through all my jumk all the time!

@Lisa - thanks! Changing over my closet is a must. We have decent sized closets, but it really helps keep things organized. Also, who wants their heavy sweaters taking up space during the summer? Def give it a try if you can:)
