Pretty in Pink
I am a big fan of clothes that are versatile and can be worn for multiple seasons. It really starting to feel like fall and I am loving the cooler temperatures. The leaves have just started to fall of the trees in our apartment complex and Keppie is loving pouncing on them and trying to catch them as they blow...super cute to watch:)
It warmed up a bit for a day and I decided to take a pretty springy/summery cardigan and make it work for fall. I layered the cardi over a white undershirt and to add some interest, a cute white ruffle tank. Since it has a busy floral pattern, I kept the bottom simple with a denim pencil skirt. Since it was still a bit chilly, I opted for some leggings and cognac colored moccasins. To accessorize a bit, I chose this chunky flower necklace and a gold snake-skin belt. Since it was chilly in the morning, I broke out my trench coat for the first time this year.
*Budget Tip: If you have a pretty good sense that an item 'trend' is here to stay (example: the trench coat) and you want a nicer one but can't afford the brand name price tag - wait until the end of the season when the item will usually go on clearance or final sale and snag it then. Tuck it in your closet for safe keeping and pull it out next year! (This one was originally over $200 when I first saw it last fall - I snagged it this past summer for $80 on final sale!)
Undershirt: Pink Orchid (Passaic, NJ)
