Happy "Golden" Birthday D!!

Occasion:

Last Tuesday was D's "Golden" birthday (yeah...i am a bit behind on my posts, sorry y'all!) and I had a bunch of plans up my sleeve:) Monday night I gave him part one of his gift. D is really into mixing cocktails and so I got him a bunch of assorted cocktail glasses for him to mix and match and for us to entertain with. I also got him a cocktail shaker and a really cool decanter. On Tuesday I took D out for a birthday dinner in the city. It was a fun surprise for him because I didn't tell him where we were going until we arrived at the door. We went to Prime KO, a (kosher) Japanese steakhouse/sushi place that is the newest restaurant from the people who own Prime Grill and Solo. It was great! While we were there, I gave D his second present: the original and the new Fame DVDs. D really loves dance movies...which I think is super cute (if not a bit embarrassing:) love you D!) Wednesday continued Birthday Week Festivities...we went and saw The Capitol Steps. They are a political satire group that does parody songs and skits about the current political situations. It was a hilarious show and we had a great time! Perfect end to D's Golden Birthday Weekend:)

I wanted to wear something nice for D's birthday dinner, but I also didn't want to be too overdressed for a normal day at school. I decided on this peach wool tunic with a pretty lace embroidery panel on the chest. I paired it with a simple black pencil skirt and my camel colored equestrian boots. Because the tunic has the lace detail around the neck, I opted to not wear any accessories. I was really comfortable in this outfit at school and I was appropriately dressed for dinner as well.

Outfit:

White Undershirt: Pink Orchid (Passaic, NJ)

Tunic: Anthropologie

Skirt: NY & Co.

Tights: Century 21 (Hue)

Boots: Banana Republic

What do you wear for a special night out??

Such a pretty top! I love Anthropologie!
OK, so yeah, I did the 30/30 challenge in the summer and it's kind of difficult, but also so helpful and fun. You should totally do it!
