First Flakes!

Yesterday we saw the first snow flakes of the season and this morning we woke up to a light dusting on the ground! I was soooo excited! Growing up in the south and never seeing much snow, I always get excited for the first snow of the season. Keppie LOVED the snow. She kept licking it and laying down to eat it...it was so cute:)

I love wearing wool in the winter but it can be itchy. I combat the itchy material by always wearing an undershirt. Undershirts are also a great way to layer for extra warmth. I also love wearing winter white in the colder months. This sweater combines both of those winter month trends. This fun beige sweater has a winter white trim crisscross neck. I paired the neutral sweater with a simple black pencil skirt. To add interest to an otherwise simple outfit, I accessorized with a metal/wood necklace and a fun green-toned scarf with a gold trim.

Undershirt: Elzee (Brooklyn, NY)

Sweater: Banana Republic

Skirt: Target

Leggings: Target

Scarf: Marshall's

Shoes: J.CREW

Necklace: Thrifted

Are you loving winter white this winter??

I really like how this outfit came together. And the scarf adds an interesting pattern with some gorgeous colour.

Very cute.

I need to try (again) wearing a scarf like that. I've tried before but I've never made it out of the house. It's weird to see yourself looking different from what you are used to if that makes sense.

Great. Now you've gone and made me all jealous of your necklace & moccasins. The whole look, really. Fabulous.
I just started a little modest fashion blog of my own; come check it out if you must. And you know you must. :)
Have a good one!
