Hat Hair

It was so rainy and gross when I wore this outfit the other day that I wasn't willing to put on one of my wigs for fear of what it would look like at the end of the day! Since they are human hair they can get wet and they do get wet when I get them washed...but its still not so great for them to get caught in the rain; not to mention the dreaded I-got-caught-in-the-rain-and-now-I-look-like-a-drowned-rat hair. I just didn't want to risk it, plus berets are totally in now even with hair tucked inside that I didn't think that I's stick out too much:) On rainy days, I really just want to lounge around in sweats and sit on the couch cuddling with Keppie...but since I had to go to school I wanted to be as casual and comfy as possible. I think that this outfit was pretty casual and I dressed it up a bit to not be too boring:)

This shirt was one of my favorite black friday purchases. It has a great 'nautical' feel with the navy stripes, and the sequins are a great accent and give it some added whimsy. I paired it with my denim pencil skirt to keep it simple and added a chunky gold chain necklace to play up the 'nautical' feel. I wore rainboots for my commute but while at school and during these photos, I changed into my moccasin booties. I topped it all off with this chunky knitted navy beret.
