Love Ya Sis!

Occasion:

This is gonna be a short post cause D and I are leaving for a ski weekend in Vermont in an hour! I am so excited!! To all of my reader that this applies to: Have a Merry Christmas:) To everyone else: enjoy having a few days off from work/school/etc. :) See y'all back on Monday!

I wanted to showcase this necklace, made by my very talented little sis. It's really cool with three attached strands, one with big wooden beads, one with shell type things and the third with brown seed beads. It was a b-day present a bunch of years ago and now whenever I wear it I always think about my sis all day:) My sis is such a special person and I have so much respect and admiration for her. She is truly wise beyond her years and even though she isn't so "little" anymore, she will always be my baby sis!! Love you D! (yeah, my Sis also happens to have a name starting with D...confusing much?!)

I wanted a simple outfit so that the necklace would have the spotlight. I chose a simple cream turtleneck, dark brown corduroy skirt and my camel colored equestrian boots.

Outfit:

Undershirt: Elzee

Turtleneck: J.CREW

Skirt: J.CREW

Tights: DKNY

Boots: Banana Republic

Necklace: handmade gift from Sis!

Do you have pieces that are so treasured because they are handmade?? What are they?
