Ruby Red

Occasion:

Since I am now on Winter Break for a month or so, I am going to catch up on all of the posts and outfit photos in my queue. Today was my first 'non-school'-school day, and I'm not gonna lie...I didn't bother to get dressed. I did take Keppie for a 3 3/4 mile walk and it was so cold that I came home frozen. After being so cold outside, I didn't want to take off my sweats. Instead, I curled up on the couch, cuddled the Kepster and caught up on 2 months of dvr'd Desperate Housewives (D is gonna kill me if they aren't off the dvr queue by the end of the week!). It was exactly the lazy day that I needed. I even fell asleep curled up on Keppie's couch which forced her to nap on the other couch:)

This outfit, from a school day last week, is the first post to showcase my gorgeous new winter coat! After some great coupons, this coat was a steal! It is super classic and I love the beautiful camel color and fun military inspired pockets. D literally took these photos as soon as I walked in the door, hence me still wearing my school bag...I didn't even have time to take it off and get settled. This sweater was another one of my black friday purchases and it was a great purchase. I love the button details and fun knitted pattern and it is super warm despite being short-sleeved. I decided to layer it over a plain white undershirt and pair it with my black pencil skirt. To jazz it up a bit, I added this chunky gold necklace and finished off the ensemble with my black fringy moccasins.

Outfit:

Coat: Banana Republic

Bag: J.CREW

Sweater: Banana Republic

Undershirt: Elzee

Skirt: Target

Tights: Century 21 (Hue)

Shoes: Zappos (Minnetonka Moccasins)

Necklace: Banana Republic

What do you wear on lazy days?

I really like this shade of red with the golden necklace. And the coat, of course - the coat is awesome!
