30 for 30: Outfit 10

Well, I am 1/3 finished with the 30 for 30 challenge and so far it's going well. It has really cut down on the amount of time it takes me to pick out an outfit, but I do miss the rest of my, I'll be excited when I get to include everything again. I thought that the 'no-shopping' rule would be hard to follow, but I really haven't had any problems with wanting anything so badly lately. I think part of it has to do with the fact that we are taking our honeymoon soon (we are going to be spending 11 days seeing Paris, Brussel, Bruges, Amsterdam and a quick day trip to London) and we are saving up to do some serious shopping abroad!! I have definitely gone into stores...I always walk the city around a bit during my school lunch break, but I have only been window shopping:)

I don't love this outfit, but I think that it was because I was in a bit of a bad mood when D took the pictures and I think it translates into the pictures...owell:( This pink ruffle shirt has gotten too big to wear normally, but if it's tucked in or if something is layered over it, I think it still works. Since this skirt has belt loops and is fuller, it lends itself to shirts being tucked it. I decided to accessorize with shades of brown, so I paired my ensemble with this skinny braided brown belt, cognac wooden necklace and my camel equestrian boots.

White Undershirt: Elzee

Shirt: Ann Taylor

Skirt: GAP

Tights: Century 21 (Hue)

Necklace: Thrifted

Belt: LOFT

Boots: Banana Republic

Any advice for shopping in any of the countries we are going to?...let me know where I should go!

I was in Paris last fall and LOVED it!When I was there,we found an outside French Market that had lots of cheapish clothes, scarves, earrings, hats where I bought alot of stuff .There were some little weird stores in the main shopping areas downtown, that looked like they just popped up and didn't even have signs where all their shoes were like $10 Euros. There will probably be stores like that again. I got scarves, 4 for 20 Euros around the tourist areas. There are tons of boutiques, and I even bought a pair of black jeans at Monoprix(40 Euros). The larger ones have clothes like H&M and aren't that exensive. I would also recommend getting a pass navigo for the local subway pass. You can buy a week local pass for cheaper than you would pay for a few single pays,so get the week even if you aren;t going to be there a full week.(and you get to keep your card with picture as a fun souvenir.
