30 for 30: Outfit 18

I recently started spinning with D at the gym. I am slowly getting into it and now that I have a gel seat for the bike and padded shorts, it is now much more comfortable. Spinning is a VERY intense workout and the second time I did the class, I didn't pace myself and could only make it through the first half hour. D and I are spinning again tomorrow, so hopefully I can pace myself better and be able to make it through the entire class.

The bus that I take from the city back to Teaneck stops right in front of the gym and D meets me there with my gym bag...hence the pictures in the hotel that is connected to the gym. This shirt is really proving to be one of the MVPs of my 30 for 30 so far. I paired it with my dark grey full skirt and belted it with a light pink snakeskin belt to give it more definition. I added a chunky cream colored beaded necklace and my camel colored equestrian boots. A black knitted beret finished off the ensemble.

Cream Undershirt: Elzee

Shirt: GAP

Skirt: GAP

Belt: J.CREW

Tights: Century 21 (Hue)

Boots: Banana Republic

Necklace: Banana Republic

Hat: H&M

Do you spin? Any advice or tips?

Hi! I'm Jessica Z's second cousin and I've been stopping by your blog for a couple of months now since she linked me.

Anyway I just wanted to say that I did spinning like 10 sizes ago. It is tough! I'm doing the couch to 5k jogging/walking program now just hoping to eventually get into spinning shape again. Back then I just tried to pace myself and practice a mind over matter sort of thing in my head where during the more tiring parts I concentrated on whatever it was (frivolous, logical, or even scandalous) that made me want to get in shape. Also if you are doing it after school there is the added mix of finding the right thing to eat and caffeine to ingest an hour before the class. It should really help that your husband meets you there because it stops you from not going. Congratulate yourself just for going and make tiny goals. I think my first one was just to finish the class even if it meant I stopped doing the up and down stuff and just sat and pedaled my numb legs at a snail's pace. Hatzlocha!

What a lovely outfit! I especially like the white necklace.

Very classy. The chunky beads do finish the piece and make it exquisite.

Big thumbs up!
