30 for 30: Outfit 29

First of all, I want to apologize for my unexpected blogging hiatus. D and I were in Chicago celebrating the birth of our new nephew and neither my in-laws nor my sis-in-law or bro-in-law had wireless (and D needed his computer for work), so I wasn't able to blog like I expected to be able to. But I'm back now:) We had a fabulous time with D's family this past weekend. I spent most of the weekend cooking for my sis and bro-in-law and playing with my older nephew, M, and holding new baby, A. He is super adorable and sooo tiny! Congrats to the proud parents M & D...we love you:)

While we were in Chicago we also got to hang out with friends and see people that we haven't seen in months. On Saturday night D and I went out to eat. We ran into A and her husband "Pinetree". I didn't know this, but A is an avid reader of my blog and surprised me by knowing tons of details about the blog. I promised her I'd give her a "Hi, A...thanks for reading!"

Second exciting thing...I am finally finished with the 30 for 30!!! Yes, I know that this is outfit 29, but outfit 30 has been worn and is in the photo yay! I am so glad to be done and have my full closet back. I'll do a recap post after outfit 30 is stay tuned!

For this outfit, I went with a classic black and white ensemble and enhanced it with pops of color from the accessories. I layered my black blazer sweater over the black and white paisley print button-down shirt and paired it with my black pencil skirt. I accessorized with a fun gold and red tribal necklace and a cool orange cuff bracelet. I finished off the look with a black beret and my fringy black moccasins.

Sweater: Banana Republic

Tights: Century 21 (Hue)

Necklace: Forever 21

What did I miss while being gone? Anything exciting happen in your lives?

Congratulations on the new nephew!!

Great necklace! I love big, bold pieces like that. :) The pop of color is perfect with the black and white, too.

Something exciting happened in my life - my 5-year anniversary! I dedicated a blog post to it. :)
