Shabbos Edition: Classic White

Occasion:

For Shabbos Dinner last week D and I (and Keppie!) went to our friends' C & A's apartment. They just moved in a few weeks ago and their apartment already looks great! They are such great people and we love all of the time we spend with them. Our great friends R & R and their son A were also there and when the 6 of us get together we always have a blast!

I have had this classic 3/4 sleeve wrap blouse in my closet for a while now and I am just never inspired to wear it. For some reason I always feel boring when I put it on, so I decided to jazz it up with the red beaded necklace and the wood/metal combo necklace. I also paired it with this black pencil skirt which is also a really classic cut but is much more interesting because of the cool embroidered hem. These ballet flats are much more comfortable than I thought they would be and they have such a cute gem pattern on them. I am really excited to wear them more come spring-ier weather!

Outfit:

White Undershirt: Elzee

White Shirt: Banana Republic

Skirt: Filene's Basement

Necklaces: Thrifted

Shoes: Banana Republic

How would you wear a classic white shirt to make it less boring?

I absolutely love this outfit! You look so elated to be able to have bare legs again. That blouse is so great on your shape. I mean, seriously SO great. Not to mention that adorable bow! I love how cute that blouse is, and because of that + the necklaces you don't even notice that you had to "modest-ize" the blouse. What a cute skirt as well! I love the simple detailing at the bottom. It really makes the skirt so much better looking than if it were just plain black. I adore the way the necklaces coordinate with that reddish color on the skirt-those little details are always my favorites in outfits. I am always inspired by your necklace layering-I normally don't have the guts to do that in fear of it not looking good! However, you have mastered it. Looking at the outfit, I think both necklaces may even be necessary together! And your shoes- TOO cute. Again, I love the bit of coordination that they have with the detailing on the shirt. The details of the flats just add that little necessary sparkle to every outfit (I know you don't wear jeans or pants-I don't either-but I think that for women who do, I think those shoes would look so gorgeous with dark jeans or black pants. The shoes could definitely spice any outfit up)! Between your blouse and shoes, I think I have some major shopping to do. You look so beautiful and happy in these photos-I can tell you are confident and looking forward to spring and summer (aren't we all)! I love your blog (have been reading for about 7 months I think) and I look forward to more adorable (and most importantly-modest!) outfits on your blog. Have a great weekend! <3

I absolutely love this outfit and I think you are really stylish. I adore the skirt and the white top (wish I had more white in my wardrobe). The sparkly shoes are beautiful and the double necklace is creative and works well.

I love this outfit! Definitely looks great on you! :) And I love your blog too. This is what fashion is all about. It's not always about skinny model and stereotypes. Atta girl!
